ABOUT
What is Wanokoe?

We offer an online course for learning Japanese. One of the key features of our course is that it clearly outlines how much and what to study each week.
In recent years, we’ve been fortunate to have access to numerous textbooks and free educational videos.
However, with so much content available, it’s easy to get lost—wondering what to study first and what to focus on next. Additionally, since Japanese isn’t one of the more widely studied languages, many learners around the world may feel isolated without others around them studying the same language.
That’s where we come in. We provide a clear path and study plan to help you understand exactly what and how to study to achieve your goals.
For those studying alone every day, we’ve set up a community on Discord where students can connect. By interacting with fellow learners, you can ask questions and help each other deepen your understanding.
who knows? If you’re planning to live in Japan in the future, you might even make some friends here in advance! Let’s work together to create the future you envision, using Japanese!
Wanokoe’s
Online Community
At Wanokoe,we utilise two main platforms to help Japanese learners study effectively while having fun.
Roblox Community
We use the online platform Roblox to provide an engaging and efficient learning space for Japanese learners. Through avatars, students can interact in a shared virtual world, creating a visually clear and motivating environment for study.
- Boost Focus with the Pomodoro Method
- ・Our virtual study rooms feature a Pomodoro timer system (e.g., 25 minutes of study + 5 minutes of break).
- ・Since students participate as avatars, they can feel like they’re studying together in the same space, helping them maintain focus and motivation.
- Immersive Vocabulary Learning
- ・Objects in the school and city environments are labelled with Japanese vocabulary.
- ・By seeing, touching, and interacting with the world, learners acquire vocabulary naturally—rather than through pure memorisation.
- Real-Time CommunicationBetween Learners
- ・Students can ask questions or practise conversations with others while studying.
- ・These real-time interactions provide valuable opportunities for output and help accelerate Japanese language development.
Discord Community
We actively use Discord as a community hub to ensure smooth communication between learners and instructors. The platform allows easy chat-based interaction, and makes it simple to share text, images, and videos—improving both learning efficiency and connections between members.
- Get Questions Answered Instantly
- ・Learners can ask questions about Japanese grammar, vocabulary, or expressions anytime, and receive answers from instructors or fellow students.
- ・Because it’s in real-time chat format, learners get immediate feedback and can continue studying without interruption.
- Real-Life Insights into Life in Japan
- ・Our Japan-based instructors regularly share photos, videos, and messages about everyday life in Japan.
- ・Learners can gain practical knowledge about Japanese culture, customs, and current events, enhancing both language and cultural understanding.
- Dedicated JLPT Study Channels
- ・Channels are organised by JLPT levels (N5–N1), allowing learners to share level-specific study resources and exam tips.
- ・Learners can exchange advice, study plans, and past test strategies—boosting each other’s motivation as they prepare for the exam together.
