値段ねだんは数字すうじと「円えん」で書かかれている場合ばあいと「¥」で表示ひょうじされている場合ばあいがあります。

「本日ほんじつおすすめ」「数量すうりょう限定げんてい」「テイクアウト可か」などの言葉ことばもよく見みかけます。

看板かんばんやメニューを読よむ練習れんしゅうをすると、街歩まちあるきがもっと楽たのしくなります。

わからないときは店員てんいんさんや周まわりの人ひとに「これは何なんですか？」と聞きいてみましょう。

English Translation

In Japanese towns, there are many kinds of signs.

The information signs at stations and bus stops have large, easy-to-read text.

You often see English written next to the kanji.

Some restaurants have photos on their menus.

Prices are shown with numbers followed by “円” or with the “¥” symbol.

You also frequently see phrases like “Today’s Recommendation,” “Limited Quantity,” and “Takeout Available.”

Practising reading signs and menus makes walking around town more fun.
